Empress had it's first season starting in March 2023. Thank you for all your support! We have truly enjoyed connecting with old friends and making new ones along the way!  

Beginning as just an idea to do a project that would be different from the norm - a desire to step away from the 80s pop and rock sets that currently saturate this local music scene, this project was not easily brought to fruition. It was a challenge to find the musicians who could play the type of music, who would commit to a start-up project learning all new material, and who would be in it for the long haul. After some initial setbacks, we finally got our lineup together and set out to make this project a reality. There is a kind of soul cleansing in this type of music. The aggressive, hard driving rhythm, the odd time signatures, the complex and fierce guitar riffs, the insane bass lines, and the aching, agonizing lyrics. For those of you that use music as therapy, as an outlet to truly be in the moment, we think you'll connect to this project. We are hopeful that this project will speak to people. We think it has a place in the local band scene right now. If people are looking for something a little different, this is different. We've worked really hard to choose the right material and to connect to it authentically and give it our own spin. We have had a blast choosing bands and songs, challenging ourselves to play and perform new material, and we can't wait to share it with everyone. Welcome to Empress!"
